JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The woman who police said lured the target of a $20,000 gang hit to his death has pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder.

Detectives said Diamond Harris enticed one of the two murder victims, 19-year-old Antonio Tillie Jr. because he thought he was meeting her for a date. Bryant Grund, an Uber driver and innocent bystander, was also killed in the shooting.

Harris, 24, was initially charged as an accessory after the fact, but her charges were later upgraded to second-degree murder.

Ju’Quan Mills is accused of shooting the two men in a car on Kylan Drive off Moncrief Road on Oct. 6 just before midnight.

Investigators said Tillie and Harris were communicating on Instagram and through several text messages and phone calls. Police said Harris denied providing Tillie with the incident location and said she did not speak with him around the time of the murder.

Police wrote they’ve identified another suspect involved in the murder, but they’re still trying to track them down.

In January, Harris wrote a letter to the judge saying she played no role in the two killings and asked for mercy so she could be a present mother for her 2-year-old son.

“I am asking that you have mercy on me,” she wrote. “My son does not have stability; he’s moving from one place to another.”

Harris said she is a first-time offender and was previously in the military.

“I don’t want to be held accountable for someone else’s actions and I was nowhere around or aware of the actual situation,” she wrote. “I’m willing to cooperate and do whatever in regards to the situation as long as I’m able to get back home to my kid and grandma...I’d love to show you who I truly am and why I deserve a chance from you.”

A sentencing date for Harris has not been set.

Mills is awaiting trial.
