NAS Jacksonville helicopter makes emergency landing in Volusia County

There was no damage to the helicopter & no crew members were injured

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A helicopter from Naval Air Station Jacksonville made an emergency landing in Volusia County on Wednesday morning.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said at 9:52 a.m., it was requested to help locate a Navy helicopter that made an emergency landing east of State Road 11 and north of State Road 40 at the Tomoka Wildlife Management Area.

Officials said at about 10:33 a.m., Air One found the aircraft on the ground with no apparent damage and made contact with the crew.

NAS Jax said it was a “precautionary emergency landing, but all is good.”

The helicopter is from HSM Squadron 70, the Spartans.
