BUNNELL, Fla. – A man pleaded guilty to multiple charges stemming from a child kidnapping investigation that began in July 2023, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said on June 5, Derek Jordan pleaded guilty and was sentenced to state prison on the following charges:
- Battery on a person 65 years or older - 40 months in state prison
- Interference with custody - 40 months in state prison
- Burglary of a dwelling - five years of probation

With assistance from our partners, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Highway Patrol, this incredible teamwork ultimately brought justice to this heartbreaking situation and returned the children safely to their mother.”
