According to a JSO report, on May 16, Marrero argued with Corey Sampson over unfinished repairs on his motorcycle at a home on La Marche Drive.

Marrero pulled out a knife, and witnesses said Sampson told him to drop it so they could fight like men.

Witnesses told JSO that Marrero stabbed Sampson in the neck and left the scene.

Sampson died from his injuries.
