The boy’s father told doctors he, his son and a woman all fell asleep in a car, and when the father woke up the child was unresponsive, according to an arrest report.

The medical examiner later found the child died of a drug overdose, and so the 48-year-old father was charged on Monday.

The arrest report is redacted as to what drug caused the overdose, but in one of the boxes, it says “cocaine.”
