JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – With increasingly high temperatures and little significant rainfall these past several weeks, JEA said on Tuesday it continues to experience exceptionally high demand for its reclaimed water supply, so it strongly urges all drinking and reclaimed water customers to follow mandatory watering restrictions set forth by the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD).
- Residential properties with odd-numbered or no addresses may water Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Residential properties with even-numbered addresses may water Thursdays and Sundays.
- Nonresidential properties may water Tuesdays and Fridays

The current SJRWMD watering restrictions schedule runs from March through November during daylight saving time.
The restrictions also stipulate that customers water only when needed and not between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. JEA recommends watering from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Water for no more than one hour per zone.
JEA said it is currently producing and delivering more reclaimed water than ever before, but the surge in demand is putting a strain on its system and as a result reducing our system pressures.
JEA said the restrictions ensure the efficient use of water for landscape irrigation, allowing enough water to maintain healthy landscapes year-round.
JEA said it recognizes that all water—both potable and reclaimed—is a valuable resource that needs to be conserved.
