DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – A 54-year-old Palmetto man died and three other people were seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 10 in Duval County Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said around 9 p.m., a sedan and an SUV were traveling west on I-10 at U.S. 301 in the right lane.

Then, a witness told FHP they noticed the driver of the sedan, a 47-year-old man from Wildwood, was traveling at an “extremely high rate of speed” and crashed into the back of the SUV, forcing both cars off the road.
The driver of the SUV died at the scene, according to FHP.
The passenger of the SUV, along with the driver and passenger of the sedan were all seriously injured.
