Police identify man killed in deadly shooting at Jacksonville Beach

Police still looking for 2 suspects

JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The Jacksonville Beach Police Department identified the man who was killed in a shooting on June 29.

The man was identified as 37-year-old Robert J. McMahon from Jacksonville.

Police said around 1:05 a.m., officers received reports of a person who had been shot at the intersection of 4th Street North and 6th Avenue. When they arrived, they found McMahon and rendered medical aid until EMTs arrived.

JFRD transported him to Memorial Medical Center where he died.

A witness told police that two male suspects chased McMahon, shot him, and then ran away, heading South on 4th Street North.
