JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was found dead inside the garage of a home in Jacksonville’s Southside Thursday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
According to police, they were called around 9:30 a.m. to the home on Gatewood Glen Court, and when they arrived, they found the body of a man inside the garage.

Police said some family members came back from vacation and found the man dead, who they believed to be their son. However, police said due to decomposition stages, they couldn’t confirm that information as they are still waiting for the results from the Medical Examiner’s Office.
At this point in the investigation, police said they believe foul play may have been involved in this incident, but couldn’t release any other details.
Detectives were going door to door looking for witnesses and/or surveillance footage that could help them figure out what happened.
