Officials said the calls indicated that two employees were in a fight and one was armed with a handgun.

Officers said they learned that the armed employee had shot at the other.

The suspect, identified by LCPD as 24-year-old Jaden Davis, was quickly located by police when they arrived at the scene.

Davis was on a nearby street as he ran from the officers, according to LCPD.

They caught up to Davis, who had the gun in his waistband, police said. LCPD said he resisted, but he was taken into custody without harming himself or any officers.

Investigators said Davis got into a verbal argument with the co-worker that turned physical.

They were separated and went outside, where the dispute resumed.

Police said Davis pulled out the gun and shot at the victim as they tried to leave the scene.

Davis then ran as police responded.

Davis was charged with attempted homicide, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, discharging of a firearm in public, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest.
