JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man died Saturday morning in a crash at the intersection of West State Street and North Jefferson Street in the LaVilla neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
According to police, a woman in her mid-20s was driving westbound on West State Street and a man in his 60s was driving southbound on North Jefferson Street when they collided at the intersection, which is controlled by a red light.

JSO said both drivers were transported to local hospitals. They did not have any passengers.
The man died shortly after arriving at the hospital, police said.
The woman was transported in stable condition.
Police are working to determine if speed and/or impairment were a factor.
