JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Humane Society is partnering with PetSmart Charities to support the 30th Anniversary National Adoption Week from July 15-21.
The main adoption event will be held at the PetSmart store located at 8801 Southside Boulevard on July 20 and 21. All adoption fees will be half-priced at this store.

The PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week in July coincides with kitten season, which is the annual boom of kittens following the peak breeding season for cats. For that reason, JHS is encouraging all pet lovers to attend the event, as shelters are already full.
According to JHS, there will be staff and volunteers available at the event to help potential adopters spend time with the cats, dogs, kittens and puppies looking for a home.
“Summer is a busy time of year for animal shelters, and JHS is no exception. We appreciate support that helps connect every pet with a loving home, and are grateful for every family that adopts a shelter pet!” said Denise Deisler, JHS CEO.
