As defending champions, FHP has entered the 2024 American Association of State Troopers “Best Looking Cruiser” competition.

State law enforcement agencies have just 14 days, from July 15-29, to earn the public’s votes. The winner will land on the cover of the AAST 2025 calendar with proceeds going to the AAST Foundation.

This year’s FHP cruiser submission is out of this world with the space-themed photo. The cruiser sat along the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex.

FHP made history last year as they earned their first win and earned over 180K votes, the largest number in competition history.

“This year, our cruiser pays tribute to the legendary Delta IV Heavy rocket while showcasing our commitment to public safety and service,” FLHSMV Executive Director Dave Kerner said.

Kerner has encouraged everyone to support them by casting their vote. It is another way to support law enforcement.

“Your Florida State Troopers are working to represent Florida and be America’s best for the second year in a row while promoting public safety,” FHP Colonel Gary Howze II said.

President and CEO of Space Florida, Rob Long, shared his support for Florida’s state trooper and connection to the space theme.

“This year’s photo entry embodies Florida’s spirit of innovation and commitment to excellence, capturing iconic elements of our state,” Long mentioned.
