Jacksonville man arrested in connection to Ponte Vedra Beach shooting

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – A 21-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested Friday in connection to a Ponte Vedra Beach shooting that took place during a sale of marijuana, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened after an argument broke out when a victim met with multiple people in a black Honda Civic at the Walden Chase amenity center in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Deputies have not identified a shooter, but they identified Jeffrey Davis as the driver of the Honda Civic.

The victim was shot multiple times and airlifted to a hospital.

Davis is charged with accessory after the fact to aggravated battery and attempted armed robbery.
