Police were called just before midnight June 28 to Kings Road, near North Davis Street, and found Reese in her car with a gunshot wound.

According to JSO, Reese was shot somewhere else and stopped at that location to ask for help. She was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

Police said the evidence at the scene and interviews with homicide detectives led to McGriff being identified as the shooter.

They said he also stole property from inside Reese’s vehicle, prompting the robbery and burglary charges.

At one point, McGriff was named by JSO as one of the leaders of the P.Y.C. gang, Pakastan Yulee Clique.
