TAMPA, Fla. – A day after the announcement that three people had been arrested in the shooting death of Charles Jones, a Jacksonville rapper known as “Julio Foolio,” a SWAT standoff led to the capture of another suspect in Jacksonville.
Jones, 26, was shot and killed in June in an ambush attack while celebrating his birthday in Tampa.
Isaiah Chance, 21, Alicia Andrews, 21, and Sean Gathright, 18, were arrested over the weekend in Jacksonville in connection with the deadly shooting, but when police announced the arrests Monday, they said there were warrants out for two other people believed to have been triggermen.
Police said that Rashad Murphy, 30, and Davion Murphy fired shots, along with Gathright, at Jones that night.
Tuesday morning, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office confirmed that an overnight SWAT standoff at the Collins Preserve apartments between I-295 and Collins Road ended in Rashad Murphy’s arrest.
Overnight, your Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals Service tracked Rashad Murphy, 30, to an apartment complex off Collins Road.

In a video shared by a viewer, police can be heard over a loudspeaker calling to Rashad Murphy.
“Rashad, I know you’re (unintelligible), man,” one officer says on the video, which also shows an armed vehicle outside the apartment complex.
JSO said the U.S. Marshals Service helped track Rashad Murphy to the complex, and JSO CPR, Gang, and SWAT units surrounded the building and helped evacuate nearby residents.
JSO said investigators spent hours trying to talk Murphy out of the building, but eventually SWAT members “used tactics” to force him out. He surrendered just after midnight, JSO said.
Murphy was charged with “No Valid Driver’s License” by JSO and will be transferred to Tampa to face charges in the deadly shooting.
Davion Murphy, Rashad Murphy’s cousin, is still being sought by police.
“We strive for the peace and the safety of our communities,” Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said Tuesday on The Morning Show.
He said investigators are closing in on Davion Murphy and encouraged him to just turn himself in.
“Everyone’s been brought into custody safely, and that’s our ultimate goal,” Waters said.
Arrests captured on video
In a news conference Monday, Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw, Hillsborough County State Attorney Suzy Lopez and Sheriff Waters announced the arrests of Chance, Andrews and Gathright and said they were still looking for Rashad Murphy and Davion Murphy.
All five suspects in the shooting are from Jacksonville and are accused of premeditated first-degree murder among other charges.
JSO released body camera video from the night of the arrests of Chance, Andrews and Gathright. The video shows Chance, wearing a red hoodie, slowly walking out of a home in the pouring rain.
Officers have guns drawn, telling Chance to keep his hands up and to slowly get on the ground. Once he’s on the ground, they tell him to put his hands behind his back and place him into handcuffs.
At that same location, officers arrested Andrews. She can be seen walking out of that same home in the rain wearing a black shirt with her hands held above her head. Officers quickly placed her in handcuffs.
Gathright was taken into custody in a different location. He was approached by officers in a parking lot. Video shows him stepping out of a red car and placing his hands above his head. Officers ask him to lift his hands high enough that his shirt lifts and tells him to do a full spin. That’s when they order Gathright to slowly walk back to them before they place him in handcuffs.

All of the people involved in the shooting are affiliated with Jacksonville gangs ATK and 1200, which are rival gangs to 6 Block, the gang Jones had connections to, according to police. The feud between 6 Block and its rival gangs ATK and 1200 has spanned over a decade with dozens of murders by and against both sides, officials said.
“Detectives believe that the ATK and the 1200 worked together to target Jones as part of an ongoing feud in Jacksonville,” Bercaw said.
Chance is a documented ATK gang member, and Rashad Murphy and Davion Murphy are documented 1200 gang members, according to police.
Video of deadly shooting
During the news conference, Tampa police showed surveillance from the night of the shooting where the suspects can be seen stalking Jones.
Police said Chance and Andrews tracked and followed Jones and his entourage to two locations. At each location, the two got out of their vehicle and Chance used a cellphone, police said. After the cellphone communication, a second suspect vehicle arrived at each location. Both vehicles then followed Jones and his entourage to a hotel located on McKinley Drive in Tampa, where the murder happened.
(Warning: The surveillance video, released by police, shows the shooting and is graphic. Viewer discretion is advised.)
At one point, the shooters got out of a car parked across the street from the hotel where Jones was staying.
They can be seen on video wearing all black while sneaking around the parking lot before firing multiple shots at the car Jones was riding in.
Police said the three shooters were armed with a handgun and two rifles.

“Today, three dangerous criminals are off our Florida streets and in police custody where they belong,” Waters said on Monday. “These individuals have chosen lives of urban terrorism and with arrests we show Tampa, Jacksonville and the rest of Florida, we hold violent criminals accountable.”
Investigators said they used surveillance videos, license plate readers and phone logs to identify the two vehicles involved and tie them to the suspects.
Three other people were injured in the shooting outside the hotel but survived.
“These criminals decided to bring their fight to Hillsborough County. Let me be clear, the feud ends here,” State Attorney Lopez said. “My office will vigorously prosecute each of these defendants to ensure they are held accountable for the calculated murder of Charles Jones.”
The investigation is ongoing.
Waters was asked about Keyanta Bullard, a high-profile rapper who goes by “Yungeen Ace” and is affiliated with ATK, one of the gangs allegedly involved.
Waters wouldn’t speak regarding the Tampa investigation but did say JSO does not have an active investigation into Bullard. He said the group doesn’t move in Jacksonville without JSO knowing about it.
Anyone with information that could assist in this ongoing investigation is asked to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130 or contact Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay at 800-873-TIPS.
