Dream Finders surprises local unhoused veteran with new home, near replica of EverBank Stadium Home

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As part of the Jaguars’ military appreciation day, Dream Finders Homes surprised a local unhoused veteran with a new home that will be a near replica of the EverBank Stadium Home.

Sgt. David James McLaughlin Jr., is a 9/11 combat veteran and served during the Afghanistan campaign.

He was honorably discharged and remains an active reserve member.

He has three kids named David, Audry, and Carrigan.

Dream Finders Homes said the home will be 2,984 square feet with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a study. It will be ready for move-in by May 2025.

McLaughlin was also gifted a signed jersey by Jaguars linebacker Travon Walker.

McLaughlin currently stays at the Five Star Veterans Center and works as an electrician to cover his expenses.

He also works with the organization to help house veterans without homes.
