St. Johns County addressing solid waste collection disruptions after switch to new provider

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Johns County is addressing solid waste collection service disruptions after it switched to its new provider, FCC Environmental Services Florida, which began servicing the county on Aug. 1.

Officials said all available County Road and Bridge crews will mobilize at 7 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 4 to complete all service routes missed on Thursday, Aug. 1, and Friday, Aug. 2.

The county aims to complete all missed service routes by the end of the day on Aug. 4.

SJC said it is using all measures to ensure the contractor fulfills its obligations and is accountable for performance issues.

The county said it is actively engaging with FCC leadership for a swift resolution.

Residents can report solid waste collection issues through the Recycle Coach app or submit a service request through the SJC Connect app.
