In a Facebook post, the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office asked drivers to stay off the roads as flood waters increase.
It also said that it wouldn’t be able to maintain a list of road closures as conditions are rapidly changing and new hazards can appear anytime.
Dozens of tree crews were waiting to be deployed to different areas of the county.
The flood has destroyed the fuel pumps at a gas station in Lake City.
The owner said she has also had to move items to top shelves to prevent them from being completely destroyed.
