River City Pride’s 2024 theme: Jax Bold, Jax Proud

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville’s River City Pride announced the 2024 Pride and festival dates for the city’s celebration of love, inclusivity and equality in Northeast Florida.

The parade and festival draw thousands of community members each year who line the roads to celebrate and experience love, acceptance and friendship.

The Jax River City Pride Parade will take place on Sunday, Sept. 29 and the festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024.

The parade will begin at 2 p.m. and will be a 1.5-mile celebration through the Historic Avondale/Riverside/5 Points community. It starts at Historic Willow Branch Park and ends at the 5 Points roundabout. The JaxRCPride festival marketplace opens from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Riverside Park (The Duck Pond) in the Historic 5 Points District.

“This year, more than ever, we are celebrating self-acceptance, dignity, equal rights, and the visibility of LGBTQ+ individuals!” River City Pride wrote in a newsletter. “Our theme is more than a statement. We are shouting that We are here. We are family. We are parents. We are friends. We are partners. We are coworkers. We are community. We are Jax BOLD, Jax PROUD.”
