ALLENDALE, S.C. – Police say that Jessica Rapsys, 27, was found Friday morning safe in South Carolina.
Rapsys, from Jacksonville, was reported missing in South Carolina after authorities discovered her abandoned vehicle on a dirt road in Allendale County on Tuesday night, with the keys still inside, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Allendale County Sheriff’s Office said the search for Rapsys included the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the Department of Energy Savannah River Site Security Services, and the owners of Creek Plantation.
“Finding Jessica was a team effort,” said Sheriff James Freeman, “We all worked together and did not give up hope.”
Rapsys was taken to a hospital where she will be evaluated and provided any necessary medical treatment.
No other details have been released about how she was found.

Officials said Rapsys may have gotten lost while on her way from Jacksonville to her aunt’s house out of state. Her aunt was trying to meet her halfway, but Rapsys never showed up, Missing People in America stated.
On Aug. 14, around 9:15 p.m., police found Rapsys’ car with the keys still inside and her cellphone nearby, but they had not been able to locate her until Friday.
Her family told police they were grateful she was found and asked for privacy.
