Clay Electric sent News4JAX the following statement regarding the outage.

“Clay Electric is aware of an outage that occurred just before 10 a.m. Saturday morning, affecting approximately 20,000 members in our Orange Park District.

As of writing, the exact cause of the outage is unclear, but it is a substation outage, and it could take longer than our original estimation to have power restored. We hope to have the outage sorted out by noontime.
