BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Glynn County Police Department arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the murder of a man at an encampment for the unhoused on Merchants Way in June 2023.
On June 7, 2023, GCPD found 39-year-old Christopher Suttles with a gunshot wound at the encampment.

Lifesaving steps, including CPR, were unsuccessful and Suttles died from his wound.
On Monday, police arrested 28-year-old Alex Etheredge and charged him with one count of homicide for the death of Suttles.
The investigation is ongoing, and more charges are expected in the case.
