ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Commission had three races for Districts 1, 3, and 5 on the primary election ballot Tuesday.
In each district, former President Donald Trump endorsed a Republican candidate.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY ELECTION RESULTS
Incumbent Chrisitan Whitehurst secured his seat with 49% of the vote for District 1. He was the only Trump-backed candidate to maintain his seat on the board.
Roy Alaimo, who ran reran for District 3, lost the seat to Clay Murphy by a 65 margin, and incumbent Henry Dean, with District 5, lost to Ann Taylor in a close-call race with Taylor leading with 2% more of the vote.
While there were no Democrats in any race, a candidate running without party affiliation, Merrill Paul Roland, will be on the general election ballot in November to face Taylor.

Trump announced his endorsement of the candidates on Truth Social in early August, just before the primary election on Aug. 20.
