KINGSLAND, Ga. – Residents in a Camden County neighborhood are experiencing flooding roadways as heavy rain moves through the area.

A mother and daughter said they’ve been living in the area for over a year and said it takes a while for the water to recede.

On Thursday and Friday, the street was flooded and the water went all the way to their front door.

They set up sandbags to help with the flooding.

“Like we say, some people are gunning it,” Charthea Tiedeman and Grace Clark said. “I would stay in town until the water came down. I had to pick up my daughter on Thursday and Friday.”

They said they’re unsure where the water goes and there’s a retention pond in the neighborhood, but residents said it overflowed during Tropical Storm Debby.
