JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man riding a bike was struck and killed on Normandy Boulevard on Wednesday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the bicyclist crossed from the Burger King parking lot at Granville Road and traveled outside of the marked crosswalk.

Around 7:34 a.m., he failed to yield and traveled directly into the inside lane, the report said.
He then collided with a car being driven by an 81-year-old man with three children inside.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the hospital.
FHP did not list any charges for the driver.
