Barriers and caution tape are up along the waterfront after waves damaged several balustrades.
The balustrades were actually first damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017, then hit again by Nicole in 2022 and Idalia in 2023.
According to our news partners at Jax Today, repairs are currently in the design phase.
The project has been assigned to a contractor. There is no word yet on when repairs could begin.
It took four years to replace the wall after it was damaged by Hurricane Irma.
Idalia made landfall as a Category 3 storm near Keaton Beach in the Big Bend.
The federal government says the National Flood Insurance Program has paid 5,200 claims totaling $372 million from the storm.
