JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was found dead next to a road in the McGirts Creek neighborhood on Jacksonville’s Westside early Saturday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said around 2 a.m., they responded to Ricker Road, at the intersection with Morse Avenue, where they found the man dead next to the road.

JSO said they do not know the circumstances of the incident and classified the case as pending.
Police said they are currently working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine how the victim died and if foul play was involved.
