SAN FRANCISCO, Ca. – San Francisco 49ers first-round pick and former Florida Gators star Ricky Pearsall was shot in an attempted robbery in California on Saturday.
According to NBC Bay Area reporter Gia Vang, officials said Pearsall was shot but is in stable condition.

Officials also said that the suspect is in custody.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the incident:
This afternoon, there was an attempted robbery in Union Square involving San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall and he was shot.
