Northeast Florida Salvation Army accepting holiday assistance applications through Oct. 4

The Salvation Army works to meet Red Kettle goal

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida announced that the Thanksgiving assistance and Angel Tree applications are now open through Oct. 4.

Qualifying applicants can apply in person at 900 West Adams Street in downtown Jacksonville through Oct. 4, Monday through 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

The make-up day will be Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

To qualify, applicants must provide birth certificates for the entire household, proof of address, valid photo ID, proof of income, and proof of expenses.

“We are so blessed to have the opportunity to assist thousands of families in Duval County during the holiday season,” Major Candice Biggers, Associate Area Commander at The Salvation Army of Northeast Florida said. “It’s an exciting time for us at The Salvation Army. We look forward to another successful year of giving back to our community. The holiday assistance programs represent what it means to come together as a community. Thousands of people donate so that thousands of families in need can have a stress-free holiday season.”
