JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people were found dead inside a home in the Deerwood neighborhood Friday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Police said they responded to the Gate Parkway area, near Burnt Mill Road, for a separate investigation.

During that time, they began speaking on the phone with two people who were inside a home, saying they wanted to turn themselves in.
Sometime later, police said they heard gunshots fired inside the home, and when they made it inside, they found two people dead.
JSO said the two people, who were not identified, knew each other.
According to JSO, this was an isolated incident, and that there is no additional threat to the community.
