JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars fans were excited to watch the first game of the football season Sunday, but that excitement turned into disappointment for some of them after the team lost 20-17 to the Miami Dolphins.

News4JAX spoke with fans who watched the game at a local bar.
Some of them said they were bummed about the loss and felt that the team made a lot of mistakes on both offense and defense.
“It came down to a two-play game, Etienne’s fumble in the endzone, the next play was an 80-yard touchdown. Game over. And I was just grossly disappointed that after all the hard work, the offense, then defense, then the special teams put into the entire rest of the game. It was a two-play game,” Curtis Ray said.
Other fans felt that they played well, but that they have some areas they need to iron out.
“We may have lost but we played a good team, we played our defense,” David Mendenhall said. “We made a few mistakes, but those things can be corrected. It’s game one, these guys have been playing with each other for a few weeks now. Now they can sit there and get back to the drawing board, recreate, and let’s go back and get this ring.”
