Woman seriously injured in hit-and-run on State Road 100 in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was transported to a hospital with serious injuries after she was struck by a vehicle while walking on State Road 100 in Clay County Saturday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the 38-year-old woman from Keystone Heights was walking in the westbound lane of State Road 100, at Southeast Lakeview Drive, when an unknown vehicle struck her.

According to FHP, the vehicle continued its way and left the scene.

The woman was transported to a hospital in Gainesville with serious injuries, FHP said.

FHP said there is no description of the unknown vehicle.
