BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. – In Southwest Florida, Bonita Springs residents got quite the surprise on their front doorstep.
An 8-foot alligator decided it wanted to say hello!
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office posted a video to Facebook on Sept. 9 and stated that deputies and Florida Fish and Wildlife workers wrangled the gator and relocated the hefty reptile into a trapper’s truck.
“Over the weekend, this 8-foot swamp puppy showed up on a Bonita Springs residents doorstep!” the Lee County Sheriff’s Office said.
The sheriff’s office reported that FWC successfully relocated the alligator to a safer location.
