FHP locates vehicle suspected in deadly Jacksonville hit-and-run crash on I-95

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol announced it has located the vehicle suspected in a hit-and-run crash that happened early Thursday on Interstate 95 in Jacksonville.

According to FHP around 12:35 a.m., a woman got out of her car, which was parked on the right shoulder of I-95 north at Edgewood Avenue, when a person driving a dark SUV hit her and kept driving northbound.

The pedestrian, identified as a 63-year-old woman from Sparta, Georgia, died at the scene, according to FHP.
