JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city of Jacksonville said a piece of hardware’s failure caused Wednesday’s temporary interruption.
The city’s technical team worked to troubleshoot the issue that affected services including access to websites like jacksonville.gov, jaxready.com, and calls to 630-CITY, JaxEPICS, or any city mobile apps on Wednesday.

The city said immediate issues were resolved the same day but the Emergency Operations Center remained partially activated as the technical team will continue to monitor the network throughout the weekend.
Services have been restored for most of the city’s offices, but the Public Defender’s Office is still troubleshooting some issues. Some external services remain impacted but the office network is working.
The city said on Wednesday, there is no indication of a cyber-attack or security breach.
