FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old boy died Monday after being hit by a dump truck in Flagler County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP said around 4:18 p.m., the boy was riding a motorized bicycle on the Belle Terre Parkway sidewalk.

The dump truck, driven by a 51-year-old man, was stopped at a stop sign on Pine Grove Drive.
Officials said the truck accelerated from the stop sign into the bicycle.
Troopers said after the impact, the driver got out of the truck to move the boy and the bicycle.
The teen died at the scene.
