2 injured after dispute leads to 4 people in ski masks shooting at them on Westside: JSO

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people were injured Tuesday in a shooting at Duclay Forest Park on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police said that around 4 p.m., they responded to reports of a shooting on Seaboard Avenue. When they arrived, they found two victims with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

A man in his late teens and a woman in her late 30s were then taken to a hospital, according to JSO.

JSO said the pair got into a dispute with an unknown party at the park. Soon after, four people wearing ski masks began firing at the man and woman.

It’s unclear what caused the dispute.

The alleged shooters left the scene.

Police said both victims are in stable condition.

The Violent Crime Unit Detectives are currently speaking with witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, JSO said.
