JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital hosted its annual NICU reunion Saturday where former patients and their families reconnected with the caregivers who supported them.
The day was filled with fun and connection, including family-friendly carnival festivities. Little ones also enjoyed face painting and an interactive NICU room exploration station.

“Every year, we look forward to this special event that brings together families, caregivers and our community,” said Suzanne Jones, Director of Women and Children’s Services at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital. “It’s a celebration of resilience, hope, and the amazing journeys our NICU graduates have made.”
According to HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, in the U.S., 1 in 10 babies is born preterm and many end up in the NICU.
A stay in the NICU can be caused by different reasons including prematurity, respiratory distress, infection, low blood sugar and other conditions.
This was the hospital’s eighth year hosting the event.
