“To say that he will be missed is a huge understatement,” the post said.

Crofton was the morning host on WEJZ for over 30 years. He started his career with the station in August 1990.

“He entertained and informed millions of North Floridians and he loved every minute of it,” the post said.

Back in the early 2000s (between 2002 and 2005), News4JAX would do regular talkbacks during The Morning Show with Crofton and his morning show partner.

The radio station did not provide a cause of death.

Crofton leaves behind a wife and three kids, according to his bio on the station’s website.

His voice being projected across radio waves will be missed.

The radio station asked that the community keep his family in its prayers.
