Officials said strong winds are their biggest concern as they will bring the possibility of downed trees and power lines.
Ware County Emergency Management posted on Facebook Thursday afternoon that after midnight, severe weather is expected, including tornadoes, high winds, heavy rain, and flash flooding.
“Stay indoors and avoid driving unless it is necessary,” the Facebook post says. “Be aware of emergency resource response delays due to severe weather conditions.”
Daniell urges residents to have several days worth of provisions to prepare for potential power outages. Residents are also urged to bring outside items such as patio furniture indoors to avoid flying debris.
