JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mayor Donna Deegan and United Way unveiled a unity mural during October’s Art Walk on Wednesday. The mural, titled “Together in Greatness,” symbolizes the importance of unity and understanding in Jacksonville following the racially motivated shooting in New Town last year.
The mural is along the south wall of JEA’s Water Street substation. A plaque will soon be installed to commemorate the mural.
