The Texas-based restaurant is best known for fresh, farm-to-fork dishes crafted from scratch. The Whiskey Cake is a unique twist on classic American comfort food.
According to the Jacksonville Daily Record, the new spot is on track for an November opening.
The new restaurant will accommodate 350 guests with feature indoor and outdoor seating, two separate bars, two private dining areas, and a Whiskey Wall featuring more than 200 spirits.
“We can’t wait to bring Whiskey Cake to Jacksonville,” said Ben Woodring, Vice President of Operations at Whiskey Cake. “Our passion for whiskey and craft cocktails runs deep — every year, our team travels to Kentucky to hand-select barrel blends you won’t find anywhere else. With our scratch kitchen and high-energy vibe, we’re ready to make this your favorite hangout in Jacksonville.”
The Whiskey Cake menu will feature options such as goat cheese fondue, crispy flash-fried brussels sprouts, a rotisserie farm bird burger, a bone-in Pork Chop, as well as the famous Whiskey Cake: a sticky toffee cake, drizzled in a signature caramel sauce, topped with spiced pecans and house-made vanilla whipped cream.
To top it off, Whiskey Cake’s award-winning brunch will be available on Saturday and Sunday, featuring favorites such as the carrot cake pancake stack and the savory Wagyu wake-up hash.
Whiskey Cake has 10 locations: eight in Texas, one in Oklahoma, and one in Tampa. Jacksonville is listed as coming soon.
