MARION COUNTY, Fla. – An adorable pup named Bella is safe and sound after falling into a 14-foot cave-like hole in the middle of a field in Ocala on Sept. 30, authorities said.
Marion County Fire Rescue firefighters said they received a call from a dog’s owner stating her dog, Bella, had fallen and was trapped. A rescuer was lowered into the cave and secured Bella.
“Marion Oaks Engine #24 arrived on scene at 7:08pm, finding Bella trapped in the hole,” Marion County Fire Rescue said. “Engine #24 Captain established command and requested our Technical Rescue Team on Tower #2 from Belleview Station #18.”
Firefighters removed her from the cave and returned her safely to her owner.
