When will my trash pickup resume after Hurricane Milton?

In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, here’s a look at when trash pickup will resume, county-by-county

Duval County

Commercial and roll-off Waste Management customers will be serviced on a one-day delay. Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.

Residential waste pick-ups will resume on Saturday, but Mayor Donna Deegan added that it may take “two to three cycles” to get through all the debris. She reminded residents that the limit of debris that can be placed outside a home is five cubic yards.

St. Johns County

Commercial and roll-off Waste Management customers will be serviced on a one-day delay. Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.

  • St. Johns County recycling collection will be suspended through Friday and resume normal operations next week.
  • The Tillman Ridge and Stratton Road Transfer Stations will reopen on Friday. Residents may bring household solid waste, yard waste, and storm debris to these two transfer stations free of charge.
  • The City of St. Augustine will collect only yard and storm debris on Friday and Saturday. Regular solid waste curbside pickup will resume on Monday
  • The City of St. Augustine will not collect recycling on Friday.
  • The City of St. Augustine Beach will resume solid waste collection services on Friday.

Flagler County

Commercial and roll-off Waste Management customers will be serviced on a one-day delay. Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.

Putnam County

Trash pickup will start back up Friday with pickups that were scheduled for Wednesday.

Here’s how it will go:

  • Wednesday garbage will be picked up Friday
  • Thursday and Friday garbage will be picked up on Saturday
  • Recycling and yard waste pickup suspended until Monday
  • All landfills will remain open until 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday

Clay County

Waste Management said Town of Orange Park Thursday trash customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday recycle customers will be serviced on Saturday.

Keystone Heights Thursday commercial customers will be serviced Friday.

All other commercial and roll-off customers will be serviced on a one-day delay through Saturday.

County officials said Thursday’s routes will be picked up on Friday, and Friday’s routes will be picked up on Saturday. FCC will be picking up bagged and containerized yard waste.

Disaster debris vendors will be picking up vegetative storm debris piles on Thursday and Friday. This will continue for the next several weeks.

The county’s citizen vegetative debris drop-off is open at the Clay County Outdoor Adventure Park at 3829 Sergeant Bradley Crose Road in Middleburg. The site will be open 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday until further notice.

The Rosemary Hill Solid Waste transfer station is open will be open for business as usual on Friday. Residents who pay for county garbage services can bring up to 500 pounds for free a month and will be charged for anything over that.

Environmental Convenience Centers will also reopen on Friday.

Nassau County

Residential, commercial and roll-off Waste Management customers will be serviced on a one-day delay. Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.

Bradford County

Solid Waste Collection sites will reopen and resume normal business hours Friday. Normal business hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1 p.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday.
