JEA crews deployed to help fellow Floridians with restoration efforts following Hurricane Milton

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Thirty-five JEA team members left Jacksonville Saturday morning to help neighboring communities in need following Hurricane Milton.

Officials said JEA water and wastewater systems team members were deployed to Pinellas County, where the water system was severely impacted by Milton.

JEA also took generators, pumps, dump trucks, excavators, trucks and trailers to help with the restoration efforts.

In addition to the 35 team members that departed Saturday, 29 electric team members, including troubleshooters and lineworkers, were also deployed to impacted areas Friday.

JEA said it will continue to deploy and bring back team members in seven-day increments until the need has been met.
