Jacksonville preschoolers donate more than 5,000 diapers to help families in need

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Preschool students from five schools donated more than 5,000 diapers to a nonprofit that helps Northeast Florida families in need.

The five participating schools included Primrose School on Crosswater Parkway, Primrose School of Fleming Island, Primrose School of Glen Kernan, Primrose School of Julington Creek and Primrose School at St. Johns Forest.

According to a spokesperson, the donation was part of the Primrose Schools curriculum, which engages students with their communities nationwide through give-back initiatives.

This time, students had the opportunity to give 5,338 diapers to the Diaper Bank of Northeast Florida.

The preschoolers donated the diapers during National Diaper Need Awareness Week, which is observed from Sept. 23-29, and highlights the urgent need for diapers in the country, while advocating for solutions to support families facing diaper insecurity.
