Convict with prior charges for sexual misconduct, battery facing 15 years in prison on gun charge

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 44-year-old convicted felon pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm and could face up to a maximum of 15 years in prison.

Christopher Houser was charged with sexual misconduct in 2001 and battery in 2019.

According to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), in February, Houser sold a sawed-off shotgun to a convicted felon. Houser had a prior felony conviction from July 2019 for possessing meth.

As a felon, it is illegal to own, obtain, and sell a weapon.

A sentencing date has not been scheduled yet.
