JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The family of a 3-year-old girl who died in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 on Oct. 6 is turning to the community for help to support the cost of medical and funeral expenses.
The family has identified the 3-year-old who was killed as Kayesme and said it has been a heartbreaking and challenging time since the accident, which resulted in three other children being critically injured.

“We are heartbroken to share that Raymond has recently lost his precious daughter, Kayesme, who was just three years old,” the GoFundMe reads. “Kayesme brought immense joy and love to everyone around her, and her absence has left an unfillable void in the hearts of many.”

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old woman was driving south on I-95 north on the inside lane near Pecan Park Road around 2:20 a.m. when she collided head-on with another car driving north. Further details surrounding the accident have yet to be released.
The other children in the car were identified by the family as 5-year-old Kayzelin, 2-year-old Kayorah, and a 1-year-old RJ. They were also riding in the SUV with the driver and 3-year-old Kayesme.
Kayzelin remains in the ICU, Kayorah is recovering in the hospital, and RJ is home, a family member told News4JAX.
