JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A new list ranking the top school districts in Florida featured St. Johns, Clay and Nassau counties in the Top 10.
Niche’s 2025 Best School Districts in Florida list ranks based on analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with teacher quality, public school district rankings, grades and more.

- #3: St. Johns county
- #4: Clay county
- #8: Nassau county
Other Northeast, Florida counties landed on the list, including:
- #14: Alachua
- #19: Flagler
- #20: Columbia
Niche said SAT and ACT scores have been removed from this year’s ranking to reflect a general de-emphasis on test scores in the college admissions process.
